Opened in 1958 at the top of the Tower Wing in Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, Le Normandie was the first French gourmet restaurant in Thailand, and has always been appreciated by gourmets and travelers from all over the world. The arrival of Anne-Sophie Pic marks the continuity of a story woven from personal relationships and lasting memories.
A reinvented place between heritage and modernity
The restaurant Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie, designed by architects Humbert & Poyet, combines French elegance and Thai culture. With its breathtaking view of Chao Phraya, this place bathed in light reveals a beautiful creation inspired by the peony dear to the Chef. The beige and gold palette creates a cozy atmosphere where floral embroidery and plaster reliefs interact with sophistication. The lacquered wooden arches and Jim Thompson fabrics pay tribute to traditional Thai weaving, creating a harmony between tradition and modernity. At the heart of the site, the sculpture “As de Pic” by Maxime Lhermet embodies the creativity of Anne-Sophie Pic and the richness of Thai culture. And when night falls, the play of shadows reveals the details, transforming the restaurant into a refined cocoon where art, nature and emotion meet.

French cuisine with Thai influences
In Bangkok, Anne-Sophie Pic is presenting some of her iconic creations by infusing a sensitive and daring vision of her French cuisine: ©ASP Berlingots with camembert, saffron, chamomile and tart tomatoes; Brittany blue lobster with red fruit dashi and seaweed; wild sea bass with caviar, a tribute to Jacques Pic; Charolais beef fillet with Thai black garlic and smoked vanilla; and finally, Millele White lotus leaf, a poetic combination of French know-how and Thai influences.
“I strongly believe that cooking is a universal language, a space where cultures meet. Opening a new chapter at Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok, an iconic institution that embodies elegance and refinement, is an adventure that I am deeply excited about.”
A multi-faceted sommelier
At the Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie restaurant in Bangkok, the art of sommelier is being reinvented in a plural approach. Each drink, designed as a sensory experience, extends the emotion of the dish and celebrates the harmony of flavors. The creative drinks menu, available in versions with or without alcohol, offers refined creations that enhance each ingredient in a perfect balance of aromas. Among the signature drinks: Brume, a combination of Calvados, osmanthus and coffee, and Genmaicha Collins, combining grilled green tea, lemongrass, kaffir lime and matcha.

Our ambassadors
In Bangkok, Anne-Sophie Pic is surrounded by a team whose career is closely linked to her own. Tamaki Kobayashi, who has been at her side for nearly fourteen years, now brilliantly manages the kitchens of the Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie restaurant. At her side, Edwin Cochet, Head Sommelier, brings a thoughtful vision of wine, subtly enriching the dialogue with food. Anne-Sophie Pic also welcomes Yuko Kuwayama, Pastry Chef, whose work combines finesse and precision with remarkable sensitivity.
