As Easter approaches, the pastry teams at Maison Pic in Valence unveil an exclusive creation, born from the skill, patience and imagination of Chef Anne-Sophie Pic.
Inspired by the work of Maxime Lhermet, this egg echoes the artist’s creations, crafted and personalised for each of the Chef’s restaurants around the world. It delicately extends their spirit through a composition in which contours, textures and details evoke a world of their own.
Conceived around the idea of accumulation, it brings together the signatures dear to the Chef’s cuisine with the magic of Easter: vegetal and floral notes, nuts and spices, playful gourmet touches and chocolate fritures answer one another in a play of shapes to be admired as much as savoured.
Beneath its dark chocolate shell, made with the Anne-Sophie Pic cuvée, each element becomes a surprise. The Ace of Spades conceals an almond, genmaicha and geranium praline; the coffee bean reveals a coffee and hazelnut praline; the peanut hides a peanut praline; while the back of the egg is adorned with an almond praline.
Inside, a selection of Andoa milk chocolate fritures and hazelnuts coated in dark gianduja chocolate prolong the discovery, in a dialogue of textures and flavours.
