Anne-Sophie Pic raised to the rank of Officer of the Legion of Honour.

A distinction that recognizes an exceptional career in the service of French gastronomy.
Contained in the civil promotion published in Official Journal On January 1, 2026, Anne-Sophie Pic was awarded this distinction at the Élysée Palace by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, on March 26, 2026. The most Michelin-starred chef in the world, Anne-Sophie Pic has embodied a singular vision of cuisine for over thirty years, nourished by audacity, sensitivity and high standards. Heir to a line of four generations of cooks, she has continued to promote French gastronomy well beyond Valence, through her establishments in France and abroad.

This distinction honors a personal career as well as a constant commitment to cuisine that is in motion, open to the world and deeply rooted in excellence. It also recognizes the collective work carried out alongside her husband David Sinapian and all the teams who, every day, carry the vision of Maison Pic in France and abroad.

“I want to thank Emmanuel Macron very sincerely for his words, which touched me a lot on Thursday evening during the ceremony for the presentation of the insignia of the Legion of Honour at the Elysée Palace. I was sensitive to her look at my career, on transmission, on the childhood memories that nourish my cooking, and on this family heritage that I strive to maintain with fidelity and humility.
I share this commitment with David Sinapian in a relationship based on trust and a shared vision. And if I continue to create, to undertake and to transmit, it is also thanks to those who accompany me every day.
“So Pic, so chic” will remain the formula that made me smile a lot! Thank you Mr. President of the Republic for this art of rhetoric and this speech with the right words.”
