Maison Pic, the art of subtle renewal

To mark its 90th anniversary, Maison Pic in Valence unveils a new look, blending memory, light, and renewal. Driven by Anne-Sophie Pic and David Sinapian, this establishment, shaped by three generations of chefs, continues its metamorphosis without ever losing its soul.

THE FAÇADE
This transformation extends to Maison Pic's façade, reinvented by artist NeSpoon with a 19th-century lace motif. Created in Haute-Loire, near Retournac, this antique design comes from the expertise of the lace makers at the Surrel Frères factory, founded in Craponne-sur-Arzon in 1853. Preserved to this day, it finds new expression here, bridging artisanal heritage and contemporary urban art.

Through this work, lace becomes a poignant metaphor for the bonds woven over time: between generations, techniques, expertise, the land, and cuisine. Fine, patient, and delicate, it evokes the invisible yet essential work that has defined Maison Pic for 90 years: a shared memory, built on precision, transmission, and attention to every detail.

THE LOUNGES
Inside, the lounges and lounge area, conceived with interior designer Mickaël Gouret, are revealed in a hushed, luminous, and contemporary atmosphere. The project highlights the beauty of the existing structure: vaults, curves, perspectives, and volumes are unveiled through a subtle interplay of light and materials.

Light stone, wood, brass, camel leather, soft fabrics, and natural hues create an interior landscape that is both warm and serene. Designed as spaces for pause, connection, and contemplation, the lounges accompany the different moments of the day, from breakfast to the moments preceding the gastronomic experience, and through the softer interludes of the afternoon.

THE BAR
At the heart of the journey, the bar, also conceived with Mickaël Gouret, appears as a poetic lantern. Crafted from perforated metal with a floral motif, it filters light and projects a delicate presence into the space, serving as a subtle landmark between the reception, the lounge area, and the lounges.

Around it, porcelain flowers, petal-shaped wall sconces, and illuminated bookshelves extend this organic and refined aesthetic. A unifying link between the spaces, the bar invites guests to slow down and discover another facet of Maison Pic, where the elegance of the setting converses with creativity, balance, and sensations.
